Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic grants the wishes of children battling life-threatening medical conditions in central and southern Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C. and northern Virginia. For every wish that is granted to local children, we have at least two more kids waiting to receive their wish. Occupying 14 acres, Layton’s Chance offers a great way to relax while sipping one of their fabulous wines. Their picnic area provides lots of entertainment with horseshoes, cornhole, volleyball and frisbees. In the summer, join us for our Concerts in the Country.
Lori Clough, owner and manager of the brewery, had a distinct sparkle in her eye while discussing 3rd Wave’s surfer disposition and freedom to develop new, exciting beers.
We asked about the process of creating a new variety of beer, and she replied: “you just put three brewers in a room and see what happens.. and I get to put in my two cents (laughs).”
Four permanent beers are always on tap at their brewery, including their Shorebreak Pale Ale, 1st Wave IPA, Big Reef Porter, and Bombora Double IPA. Four additional seasonal beers are showcased at any given time as well, and rotate semi-frequently
